Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has published new data from the Mission Control module of the DELTA combat system: in June, every dollar spent by the Defense Forces on striking targets cost Russia losses of nearly five dollars.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the cost of a strike varies depending on the type of target:
- neutralizing one enemy soldier cost the Defense Forces $3,032;
- destroying one piece of equipment cost $2,674;
- striking an infrastructure object cost $1,487.
In each category, the enemy’s expenses far exceed the expenditures of Ukrainian units on the strike itself. For example, maintaining one Russian servicemember costs Russia approximately $65,000.
The system also tracks the value of destroyed enemy assets — from hundreds of dollars per unit of telecommunications equipment to hundreds of thousands of dollars for air defense systems and similarly high-value targets.
The Mission Control module was launched in early 2026, initially as a mission-planning system for drone crews within DELTA. As envisioned by its developers, each crew enters the UAV type, launch point, route, and objective into the system, while data on actual mission execution is generated automatically — this was intended to replace paper reports and manual summaries that consumed fighters’ time and distracted military personnel from combat tasks.
Initially, the module was used by unmanned systems units. By March 2026, Mission Control had been deployed across all army corps and troop groupings, with the number of digital reports in the system exceeding 150,000. Today, according to the Ministry of Defense, Mission Control processes 50,000 missions and receives more than 230,000 reports every week.
The module is integrated with other DELTA tools: in particular, with the situational awareness system Monitor and the battlefield video analysis platform Vezha. Together, they form what the Ministry of Defense calls a unified information picture: data on a drone’s flight, target strike, and target value are synchronized with video confirmations and the overall situation on a given sector of the front.
