Soldiers from one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ separate mechanized brigades conducted the first logistics mission using an amphibious unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) of Ukrainian design. The robot covered more than 40 km over land and water, delivering supplies and ammunition to positions.

As reported by the Ministry of Defense, the complex was refined over several months in cooperation with military personnel, taking into account real-world tasks, operational experience, and the characteristics of frontline terrain. Grant support for the development was provided by the defense innovation cluster Brave1, which in June 2026 launched an updated track dedicated to “amphibious UGVs.”

The vehicle used in the operation was likely the UNEX UGV — a Ukrainian amphibious platform that the Ministry of Defense approved for operational use back in April 2025. It is capable of moving across water, swamps, floodplains, sand, and ice, as well as crossing ditches, fallen trees, and other obstacles. The platform also features a programmable autopilot and can be adapted for logistics, evacuation, engineering, and combat tasks.
