The Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Drone Force Recruitment and Training Center for Unmanned Systems Specialists, announced the launch of the campaign “Women in Midstrike: Strike Like Princess Olha” — an initiative aimed at attracting women to technological military specialties in the field of unmanned aerial systems.

As reported, the campaign’s priority focus is midstrike — striking targets with unmanned systems at distances of 100–600 km. According to Ihor Torokhtiy, a representative of the Unmanned Systems Directorate of the Ground Forces Command, pilots in this field typically operate 40–50 km from the line of contact, and the work requires high engineering proficiency, crew coordination, and rapid equipment deployment.

Tetyana Muravyova, Head of the Drone Force Recruitment and Training Center for Unmanned Systems Specialists, noted that the campaign is a continuation of the “Common Cause” project, which has been running for half a year. According to her, women are actively joining technological military professions and are successfully advancing in this field.

The campaign aims to showcase opportunities for women in modern technological military specialties and to promote the formation of mixed and all-female crews in unmanned systems units.

Princess Olha was chosen as the symbolic face of the campaign — a figure the organizers associate with strategic thinking and the ability to change the course of events. The image was embodied by Honored Artist of Ukraine Irma Vitovska. In the promotional video, Olha releases doves into the sky and then carries a modern UAV into a field, surrounded by female service members.
