On the Kharkiv direction, fighters of the “Apex” unit of the “Forpost” brigade (16th Army Corps) manually evacuated an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) after losing contact with it in an area of active enemy drone operations.

As the unit reports, during the mission, communication with the robot was lost directly in an area heavily monitored by the enemy’s reconnaissance and strike UAVs. Instead of abandoning the equipment, the fighters decided to conduct a manual evacuation.

The group made its way to the location of the complex. On site, a problem arose: there was no time or safe logistical options for transporting the vehicle. Only one option remained: to operate the UGV under manual control. So the servicemen found an unconventional solution — they mounted the robot’s hull and rode it back to their positions.

“Modern war demands modern solutions,” commented one of the fighters with the call sign “Ukho” (“Ear”).

According to the unit, both the crew and the UGV returned from the mission without losses, and the mission was accomplished.
