1. General Provisions 

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) defines the procedure for the collection, processing, storage, use, and protection of personal data of users of the DefPulse information portal, located at https://defpulse.news/en (hereinafter referred to as the “Portal”). 

The owner of the Portal and the personal data operator is a natural person – entrepreneur acting on the basis of state registration in accordance with the applicable legislation of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator” or “Company”). 

By using the Portal, the user confirms their familiarization with the terms of this Policy and provides consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation of Ukraine.

In this Policy, the terms are used in the following meaning:

The Company does not collect special categories of personal data (within the meaning of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”). 

4. Purpose of Personal Data Collection and Processing 

Personal data may be processed by the Company for the purpose of: 

  • ensuring proper operation of the Portal;
  • sending news newsletters and notifications about new content (subject to user consent);
  • providing feedback to users and processing their requests and inquiries;
  • enabling commenting and interaction with content (where such functionality exists);
  • improving Portal functionality and content quality;

5. Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

6. Newsletter and Communications 

Subscription to the news newsletter and notifications about new content is voluntary and is carried out with the user’s consent. 

The user has the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the relevant link in the email or by contacting the Operator using the contact details provided in this Policy. 

7. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties 

The Company does not sell or unlawfully transfer personal data to third parties. 

Transfer of personal data may be carried out exclusively: 

  • in cases provided for by Ukrainian legislation;
  • upon request from competent state authorities;
  • to counterparties or technical partners who ensure the operation of the Portal or information services (including hosting services, analytics services, mailing services, social media integrations), provided they comply with confidentiality and data protection requirements.

  • file complaints regarding the processing of personal data with the Operator, as well as with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights as the authority responsible for overseeing compliance with personal data protection legislation;
  • exercise other rights provided for by Ukrainian legislation.

11. Personal Data of Minors 

The Portal is not directed at minors and is not intended for the collection of personal data of persons under the age of 18. The Operator does not knowingly collect personal data of minors without the consent of their parents or other legal representatives. 

If the Operator becomes aware that personal data of a minor was obtained without proper consent, such data will be deleted. If you believe that a minor has provided their personal data, please contact the Operator using the contact details provided in this Policy.

This Cookie Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) defines the procedure by which the Operator uses Cookie files and other similar technologies when users access the DefPulse information portal at https://defpulse.news/en (hereinafter referred to as the “Portal”). 

By using the Portal, the user confirms their consent to the use of Cookie files in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device when visiting the Portal. Cookie files allow the user’s device to be recognized, settings to be saved, and the Portal to function correctly.
