The Ukrainian interceptor drone ‘Skazhenyi’ has been officially cleared for operational use within the Defense Forces. The aircraft, equipped with a terminal guidance system, is being developed by the UV Military Cluster consortium in partnership with air defense units in the Odesa region. The first units have already been delivered to positions in Odesa and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, and the company is in negotiations regarding its first export contract.

Design features: the battery runs through the power frame, shifting the center of mass to the geometric center of the aircraft — this eliminates the “nose-up” problem typical of interceptors in level flight and improves maneuverability. Development of a remote control module is ongoing, and at the request of the Navy the aircraft is being made modular — with the ability to swap out the communication system and video equipment.
Limitations: the terminal guidance system has not yet been tested against jet-powered drones.
