Ukrainian drone manufacturer F-Drones has unveiled LITAVR+ — an upgraded version of its interceptor drone designed specifically to counter jet-powered strike drones such as the Shahed and Geran-4. Company CEO Stanislav Khutor shared details about the new product.
The base LITAVR was released by the developers back in autumn 2024, and in 2025 the drone underwent codification and entered serial production in the autumn. Since then, Defense Forces units have been using it daily to shoot down Russian UAVs. The maximum speed of the base version is 350 km/h.
The problem arose when Russia began mass deployment of jet-powered Shaheds and Gerans — capable of reaching speeds of up to 500 km/h, making a subsonic interceptor insufficient against them. This created the need to upgrade the interceptor. According to Stanislav Khutor, the LITAVR+ retains the same form factor as the previous model but features new engines and electronics that allow it to exceed 400 km/h.
The developers emphasize that all key components are proprietary. According to Khutor, the company independently develops its engines, flight controllers, and the proprietary LARAG software. The drone is also equipped with a GPS-independent navigation system and a last-mile terminal guidance function.
Among other features are remote drone control via the company’s proprietary communication module, an optical system with day and thermal imaging cameras switchable in flight, as well as two delivery options — an empty container for field arming with munitions, or a drone with a pre-installed 500-gram warhead in the nose section.
The company’s head confirmed that LITAVR+ has already completed factory testing and is currently undergoing combat testing.
