Ukrainian developer company BlueBird Tech announced on its social media the start of upgrading third-generation devices to the new version — ‘Chuika 4.0’. According to the manufacturer, military personnel who are already using ‘Chuika 3.0’ will be the first to receive the update.
For now, the upgrade will be available for devices with hardware board version 1.3.8. The board version can be checked directly on the device without disassembling the case, via the menu: Menu / Version info / Hard.
As the company notes:
“This update adds a high-frequency range: a separate receiver module is added for the range: 6–8.8 GHz. A dedicated antenna is also installed for its operation.
The mid-range of ‘Chuika 3.0’ is also being upgraded. The existing 3.3 GHz module is reworked to support frequencies up to 4.5 GHz. Before: 2870–4080 MHz, after the upgrade: 2860–4500 MHz.
The corresponding antenna is also changed accordingly. That is, the device begins to cover frequencies up to 4.5 GHz. Overall, the number of frequency bands increases from 3 to 4, and a separate battery and the necessary cables are added.”
The company’s mobile app has also received an update: it is now possible to check whether a device is technically eligible for the upgrade program and to join the queue for the Chuika 3.0 upgrade.
Therefore, you can currently sign up or join the queue for the update in two ways: through the BlueBird Tech mobile app by entering the device’s serial number and checking upgrade availability, or by contacting the company directly via messengers.
