Instead of kings and queens, the deck features drones, electronic warfare systems, and ground robotic complexes

The Defense Procurement Agency (DOT) has presented a playing card deck called “Cards of Independence.” The 54-card deck replaces the traditional kings and queens with Ukrainian defense technologies — specifically, the most popular items from the state’s online weapons store for the military, DOT-Chain Defence.

The deck features FPV drones, fiber-optic drones, bombers, interceptors, ground robotic complexes, and other technologies. Each card is dedicated to a specific product and its manufacturer. Among the systems depicted are the unmanned aerial vehicles Roniy-13D-O, Pegasus 10, and P1-SUN, as well as the drone detector “Chuika.”

DOT describes the project as “an ode to Ukrainian arms makers” who, throughout these years, have been soldering, assembling, and inventing systems that ultimately became trump cards in the hands of Ukraine’s military. The campaign’s slogan plays on a well-known phrase: “They told us we had no cards. But it turned out we had an entire deck.”
