What is an FPV drone?

This is a technology that is used for simulations of flight in virtual reality. VR goggles create a completely artificial environment where the user can “control” a virtual drone without leaving the real world.

Do FPV and VR intersect?

Despite the external similarity, FPV and VR technologies are fundamentally different and almost do not intersect. FPV goggles are used for the transmission of a real image from the drone’s camera, whereas VR is a completely artificially created reality that is generated by software. Also, VR does not use real images and does not make it possible to control a real drone.

FPV makes it possible to control a drone in real time, while VR creates a virtual environment.
