During the full-scale war, the role of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine grew many times over. They serve on the front line, lead units, train, rescue, and heal.

Statistics and Facts: Debunking the Myths

As of 2025, in the ranks of the AFU there are over 65 thousand servicewomen, of whom over 5 thousand carry out combat tasks on the front line.
This is the largest indicator in the entire history of independent Ukraine and one of the highest in Europe.

Women make up about 25% of the personnel of the AFU, which demonstrates: victory is a common national mission.

According to the data of the Ministry of Defense, the number of servicewomen during the war grows by 10–15% annually, especially in the sphere of medicine, logistics, analytics, and combat units.
